24.11.1944 – 12.04.2026
Very dearly loved wife of Jørgen (John) (dec).
Much loved Mum of Natalie and Simon (dec), Yvette and Greg, Nik and Sheree.
Adored “Petty” of Ella, Lily, Lucy, Alex, Sasha, James and Polly.
Born in Czechoslovakia, Blanka came to Australia in 1968 and made Burnie her home.
A beautiful, gentle, kind and caring lady, known for her quiet laugh, mischievous sense of humour, and her love of family, cooking, flowers and gardening.
She found her greatest joy in being with her family and was so proud of their achievements, no matter how big or small.
Humble and grateful for everything she had.
Always remembered and always loved. Already deeply missed.
Heartfelt thanks to Dr Rob Fassett, the exceptional and compassionate staff of the Bass Ward at NWPH, Dr Tom and Kelli from Palliative Care Tasmania, City Medical and Family Based Care staff, and all who cared for Mum and treated her with dignity, kindness and a smile throughout her final days. Also special thanks to Andrea, a dear friend and like an adopted daughter, whose love and support meant so much to Mum and our family.

My sincere condolences to Natalie, Yvette and Nik and their families on the loss of such a special person, Blanka. My thoughts are with you as you have lost both your loving parents in such a short time.
Dear Natalie, Nicholas, Yvette and families, Our deepest sympathy at this very sad time. Blanka was such a lovely lady. We were very united with a bond, phone calls, sharing meals and everything in between. May you rest in peace. We love you, Jill and Pete
