Parkside Floral Offer

09/01/2019 | By |

At Parkside – we know it’s difficult to visit the grave of someone you love at those special times of the year.
Maybe it’s their birthday, Mother’s or Father’s Day, Christmas, Anzac Day, or the anniversary of their death. If you would like to arrange to have a floral arrangement placed in their memory, please call us, and we can help.

In conjunction with our local florist, we can have the arrangement of your choice created and placed for you. We will also take a digital photo of the arrangement, and email it to you, or send you a print photo, by post, should you prefer.

We’re here to help.

All you need to do is phone us on (03) 6433 4010 in business hours (9am – 5pm) with the type of floral tribute you would like placed, and your credit card details, and we will take care of the rest. We’d appreciate it if you could please allow at least two weeks before delivery.

End of Life Planning Seminar

09/01/2019 | By |

Last year (2013) Parkside held our free inaugural seminar which provided information to the community about end of life planning. This included information on wills, estate planning, power-of-attorney, enduring power-of-attorney, guardianship, advanced care planning, body bequests (donating your body to science). We had many legal firms and financial advisers attend who also provided information to people wishing to know more. We envisage holding a similar event in 2014. Please feel free to phone Parkside (6433 4010) to be put on our mailing list for details of the seminar .

Smithton Christmas Memorial

09/01/2019 | By |

Every other year at Christmas we invite anyone who has lost someone to attend our Christmas memorial service in Smithton. You don’t need to have used Parkside to handle the funeral of the person you loved. It’s open to anyone. The evenings are relaxed and gentle, and the emphasis is on providing a safe space in which to remember your loved one. We include music, candle lighting, reflection, you are welcome to bring a gift in memory of your loved one to place under our tree, which will later be given to those less fortunate in your community, and we conclude with a beautiful supper. It’s a special time to remember and honour those we have loved and lost. Please feel free to phone Parkside (6433 4010) to be put on our mailing list for details of the service.
